Guiding Principles and UDL Connections
The guiding principles garnered from the findings and the research in the field and from our synthesis workshops can be easily connected to the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL).
The guiding principles naturally fit with UDL and can be centered around these three focus questions:
1. How will you teach the content or how will students learn the content independently? (Representation)
2. How will students be engaged in the content? (Engagement)
3. How will students show you what they know? (Action/Expression)
